About Drew Amend, LMSW, CHT

Drew is a highly qualified and experienced hypnotherapist, social worker, and counselor who has served the local Wichita community for many years. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wichita State University and a master's degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a certified member of the International Association of Counselors & Therapists (IACT) and a graduate of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (HMI), the first federally accredited school of hypnosis in the country. Drew is also a Kansas Licensed Social Worker and holds a variety of additional credentials that allow him to provide effective, evidence-based care to his clients. He is well-versed in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, family systems theories, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Drew is known for his ability to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with clients quickly and effectively, utilizing a person-centered approach.
